I’m drawing a blank.

Normally, the words and thoughts would come much easier, but in this season of waiting, I feel stuck. Paused. Suspended somewhere between what was and what’s next.

What do you do when you’re in between transitions?

You’ve made up your mind. You can see something new on the horizon, something better, something different but wisdom says, not yet.

It reminds me of being a kid playing video games. You’re moving through the level, gaining momentum, feeling confident until you reach that one jump. The high one that requires perfect timing. Jump too early or too late, and you fall. Game over. Start again.

So, you wait. Anticipating the exact right moment to move.

But when is the right moment? How do you know you won’t fail? Am I doing the right thing? What if I mess up or miss the mark?

If we’re honest, most of us have wrestled with these questions. Maybe not out loud, but somewhere in the quiet spaces of our minds. As human beings, we’re wired to want completion, clarity, and success even in the smallest things.

We want to get it right.

But the in-between space doesn’t offer certainty. It demands patience; it stretches us and challenges our need for control. It forces us to sit with unanswered questions and trust that preparation is happening even when progress isn’t visible.

So, what do you do in the meantime? You breathe, prepare, grow, and remind yourself that waiting isn’t wasted time. It’s intentional time. Because when the time comes to finally make that jump, you will realize you were never stuck.

You were just being positioned.
